Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and GILT-EDGED Integrated Services Ltd, doing business as EduGateway (“EduGateway,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the EduGateway platform and website located at edugateway-web.firebaseapp.com (the “Site”) as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website or mobile application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing the Site or using the Services, you agree that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms of Service.IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS OF SERVICE, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SITE AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.

2. Eligibility and User Representation

The Services are intended for users who are at least 16 years of age. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:

  • All registration information you submit will be true, accurate, current, and complete.
  • You will maintain the accuracy of such information and promptly update such registration information as necessary.
  • If you are between 16 and 18 years of age, you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Services.
  • You have the legal capacity and you agree to comply with these Terms of Service.
  • You are not a minor in the jurisdiction in which you reside, or if a minor, you have received parental permission to use the Site.
  • You will not access the Site through automated or non-human means, whether through a bot, script, or otherwise.

3. Description of Services and AI Disclaimer

EduGateway provides an integrated suite of tools for international students, including AI-powered university matching, scholarship databases, admission probability scoring, and application assistance.

Artificial Intelligence Utilization: You acknowledge that many of our services are powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning models. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated outputs are probabilistic and may contain errors, biases, or outdated information.You are solely responsible for verifying all AI-generated content before using it for any official application or document.

EduGateway does not guarantee admission, scholarship awards, or visa approvals. Our services are advisory only.

4. Prohibited Activities

You may not access or use the Site for any purpose other than that for which we make the Site available. Prohibited activity includes, but is not limited to:

  • Systematically retrieving data or other content from the Site to create or compile a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from us.
  • Trick, defraud, or mislead us and other users, especially in any attempt to learn sensitive account information such as user passwords.
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Site.
  • Upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) viruses, Trojan horses, or other material, including excessive use of capital letters and spamming.
  • Attempt to impersonate another user or person or use the username of another user.
  • Use any information obtained from the Site in order to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and Services are our proprietary property and all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics on the Site (collectively, the “Content”) and the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the “Marks”) are owned or controlled by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws and various other intellectual property rights and unfair competition laws of Nigeria, foreign jurisdictions, and international conventions.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

We offer various subscription plans (Free, Pro, Elite). By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees associated with your chosen plan as described during checkout. Fees are non-refundable once processed, except as required by law or specified in our Refund Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFIT, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our liability to you for any cause whatsoever and regardless of the form of the action, will at all times be limited to the amount paid, if any, by you to us during the six (6) month period prior to any cause of action arising.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and your use of the Site are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Nigeria.

9. Modifications and Interruptions

We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Site at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Site.
