1. Data Processing Addendum (DPA)

This Data Processing Addendum (“DPA”) is integrated into the EduGateway Terms of Service and applies when we process Personal Data on your behalf in the course of providing our Services.

Our Commitments:

• Processing: We will process Personal Data only in accordance with your documented instructions and in compliance with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and NDPR).
• Confidentiality: We ensure that personnel authorized to process Personal Data have committed themselves to confidentiality.
• Security: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk.
• Sub-processors: We use compliant sub-processors (e.g., Google Cloud, Firebase, Stripe) and remain fully liable for their performance.
• Breach Notification: We will notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach.

2. Affiliate Disclosure

In accordance with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines and global transparency standards, EduGateway discloses that we may earn commissions or referral fees if you purchase products or services through links on our platform.

Types of Partnerships:

• Institutional Partners: We may have recruitment or partnership agreements with specific universities.
• Service Providers: We may earn fees from travel insurers, specialized lenders (student loans), and test preparation companies.

Our AI matching algorithms are designed to prioritize the best academic fit for the student based on profile data, irrespective of affiliate relationships. However, we will always clearly label sponsored content.

3. Content Moderation Policy

To maintain a safe and supportive environment for all international student applicants, we enforce strict content guidelines within our Community Forums:

• Strict Prohibitions: No false immigration or visa advice; no selling of services; no sharing of PII (passports, IDs); and no hate speech or harassment.
• Enforcement: Our moderators reserve the right to remove content, issue warnings, or permanently ban accounts without prior notice.
• Reporting: If you see content that violates our standards, please use the “Report” button immediately.

4. Writing & Professional Service Agreement

This section governs one-time professional services including SOP drafting assistance, CV editing, and Portfolio reviews:

• Authorship: Our services are designed to assist you in articulating your story. We do not engage in academic dishonesty or ghostwriting that misrepresents your core background.
• Revision Window: Eligible services include up to two (2) rounds of revisions within 14 days of the initial delivery.
• No Guarantee: As with all advisory services, we do not guarantee admission or visa success.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

The EduGateway Platform may only be used for legitimate educational discovery and application purposes. You agree NOT to:

• Use the platform to submit fraudulent, modified, or forged documentation.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to hack any part of the AI models or databases.
• Share account access with third parties or academic consulting firms without written consent.
• Use the platform to harvest student data for commercial use.

Violations result in immediate legal action and revocation of service access.
